Robin Parkin is a songwriter, pianist and chamber singer living between Melbourne/Naarm on Wurundjeri country and Adelaide on Kaurna country. His music combines poetry with lyrical melodies that explore themes of community, mental health, modern masculinity, and finding our place in a time of crisis. He writes music that makes you cry a bit, lifts your soul, and helps you find your feet on the earth.

When Robin decided to create a concert of the songs he had been writing for the last decade, he came to a realisation: that by accident almost all of his songs were about his love for his people.
Songs for parents. Songs for siblings. Songs for friends, lovers, aunties, uncles, babies. Songs that, one way or another, said, "Thanks." Or, "I got you."
Performed in collaboration with Emma Borgas (soprano), Rachel Bruerville (alto, cello) and Tom Kneebone (guitar), 'Heaps' brings you songs in the tradition of soulful folk artists like the Wailin' Jennys, the Weepies and First Aid Kit, mixed alongside pop, country and soul sounds.
With arrangements inspired by the chamber singing tradition where Robin cut his teeth, let the sounds of close harmony singing wash over you in this new collection of songs honouring the people we love. Heaps.
